How to make an image motd for your Counter Strike 1.6 server

You can set up an image MOTD (the picture that shows before connecting to a server) using one of the following methods:

Writing the text directly to the picture, uploading it on a file hosting server and inserting the URL into one piece of html code.
Inserting the text into the html code.

First method – writing on a picture

Chose a picture here or any other. If you chose to use your own picture you will have to resize it first. Download here, Paint Net photo editor. Install it , open it and in the upper left corner you will find File -> Open . Chose the picture from your computer and open it. In order to resize it click Image -> Resize . Check “By absolute size”, uncheck "Maintain aspect ratio" and write the following sizes :

widith : 766
height: 383

You have your picture sized and ready for your motd. Now you`ll have to write the text. In order to do that open the Tools and Colors (if they are not already opened, click Windows menu and open it there). In the Tools menu you`ll find the writing tool represented by the letter “A”. Chose the color of your text in Colors menu and write the text on your picture. Save the image when you are done ( File -> Save , name it and save it as gif, jpg, png or bmp).

Uploading the picture on a file hosting server and inserting the url into the html code

In order to do that follow this link and make an account there. Upload the picture to your account, click Files -> Main folder (see the image) . You`ll see a small thumbnail of your picture. Click on it and the picture will open. In the upper left corner of it you`ll see the needed URL address wich you`ll have to copy (see the image).

Copy that URL into this piece of html code :

This code you`ll have to copy into HLDScstrikemotd.txt after you deleted the code that is already there. Save and close motd.txt.

If you chose to use one of our pictures you will not have to upload it to a file hosting site. The pictures are hosted by us. Just copy into the code above this url :

Replace “image.jpg” with the name of the picture you have chosen.

Warning ! Never forget to write the pictures extension (jpg, gif), otherwise the image won`t show.

The picture will fit exactly into the game window !

Once you have got all that audio gear, place the subwoofers next to the wall that you can hear noise through, do the same with the horn tweeters. Next purchase some ear defenders, for you own safety, put them on your ears and crack up the volume to the loudest level and leave it blasting for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes take the ear defenders off your ears, if they raise the volume and continue to blast their music through your walls, then leave it on for another 5 minutes. They will eventually give up because your audio setup is way to loud for them and that will be the end of you noisy neighbours for a long time!

If you want to, you could also consider yourself placing a table lamp or flash torch directly on top of the screen to increase the brightness.

How To Fix Rattling Sound From Headphone Drivers Speakers

If you own a pair of headphones and they make a rattling sound when you use them, this sound can become a problem because it destroys the sound quality, especially if you are a pure audiophile. You might be thinking right now that your headphones are faulty, but the reason why you hear the rattle sound is because tiny hairs have got onto the drivers from everyday use. So when you play music with lots of low bass frequencies loudly through the headphones, the drivers rapidly move up and down and vibrate the hairs. The hairs that are vibrating, cause a rattling sound to be heard to your ears, when you are listening to your music. Usually removing the hairs from the driver that rattles, gets rid of this particular problem, but if it doesnt resolve it, then the drivers is blown out and need replacing with a new one. 1) The best tool to use to remove the trapped hairs from the headphone driver that rattles is using a low powered vacuum cleaner. This will suck up all the tiny hairs found on top of the driver and other dirt particles lying around. Make sure the vacuum cleaner is not high powered because it can cause damaged to the diaphragm and voice coil because of too much suction power!

2) Prepare the vacuum cleaner, by attaching the small nozzle attachment onto the pipe. Then plug the vacuum cleaner into a wall socket and switch it on.

3) You can directly see the headphones driver if you look into the leather ear pad on most cans. If you struggle to see the headphone driver, you can also remove the leather ear pad. This is so you can clean it thoroughly, but this might involve you to remove screws and take things apart.

4) Point the nozzle into the leather pad, pointing it directly onto the rattling headphones driver. Then switch on the vacuum cleaner and allow the machine to do its job. The suction power from the machine will suck up all the hairs and dirt. Once you have finished cleaning, power off the vacuum cleaner and plug in your headphones into your music player to see if the noise has gone. Instructions:

1)Power off your TomTom sat nav, this is by pressing down the power button for 5 seconds, when the device is powered on.

2)Once the TomTom is powered off, locate the memory card slot, it will be on the bottom of the sat nav, near the reset button and mini usb connector.

3)Insert the memory card into the memory card slot, push it in, it will then lock in place.

4)Power on your TomTom sat nav, it will find the memory card and automatically load the data files from the memory card onto the device.

How To Fix a CB Radio That Wont Turn On Not Getting No Power

A home base power supply is required to convert the standard 240 volts from a wall socket to 12 volts to power any CB radio up. If you are using your CB radio in your car, there is no need for a separate power supply box to convert the voltages because the car battery provides the correct amount of 12 volts. If your CB radio is not getting no power from its power supply, it will not turn on. There can be many different reasons on why your CB radio is not getting any power, it could be just a simple as replacing a fuse or the power supply can become bad. To help your troubleshoot this particular problem, go through the following steps provided below to help fix your CB radio.

1) Is your CB radio getting 12 volts? Use a multimeter to check the voltage that is coming from its power source. This is vital to find out because if its not getting 12 volts from the power source, you can tell if the power supply or the CB radio is the problem. So setup the multimeter to read in voltage mode, attach the negative probe to the negative wire and the positive probe onto the positive wire connecting into the CB radio. Switch on your power supply, the screen of the multimeter should read around 12 volts. If its displaying 0 volts, at this point you have identified that the CB radio is not getting no power from the power source and the CB radio is not faulty.

2) Check for any bad or wrong connections. If the wires from the CB radio to the power supply are not connected properly or are short circuiting because the wires are touching each other, both can be possible causes to your CB radio getting no power. Run down the wires from the CB radio to the power supply and look out for any wires that are not taped up and touching each other. Also a CB radio has two wires that are required to be connected to a power source in order to make it function. If the wires are connected with the wrong polarity, so the positive wire is connected to negative and negative wire connected to positive, it will not power on at all. So ensure that they are connected the right way!

3) Check if the fuse is burnt out. A CB radio uses a fuse to protect itself from getting damaged during a power surge or a short circuit. The role of the fuse is to break when the current becomes too much for it to handle. Your CB radio will have its own glass fuse inside a fuse holder, which is found on the positive wire at the back of the rig. The way to identify if the fuse is blown out is by looking in the middle of the fuse, if the small wire looks burnt or has snapped, its the problem causer and needs replacing. Make sure you use the correct glass fuse of the same amps because if the amount of amps the replacement fuse can handle is too less or too much, it wont protect your CB radio from getting damaged next time something goes wrong.
