If you are planning on selling your Nokia 6700 mobile phone or its running really slow, you should consider performing a hard reset. A hard reset will restore the device back to factory default settings and will also delete all stored files on the mass memory. This including applications, games, music files, images, video clips, contacts and messages. So it is certainly ideal to make a back up of your content via Nokia PC Suite and restore it later on, if the data is important to you. This hard reset trick works for both Nokia 6700 classic and slider style mobile phones.
1) Ensure that the battery is at least more than half charged. Insert a sim card of your choice and power on your mobile phone.
2) Once its landed on the home screen, enter the following reset code into the dialer keypad *#7370#.
3) You will now be asked to enter the security code so enter 12345.
4) The reset will be processing and your phone will restart when completed.
